Don was born Aug. 9, 1940 to the late Willie Johnson and Sarah Eva Short McCloud in Cookeville, TN. He was a U. S. Army veteran and owned and operated McCloud's Carpet Cleaning until his retirement. He attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Smithville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother J.D. McCloud and two sisters Linda Bolton and Rose Spangler. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Amie and Todd Summers of TN; grandchildren Taylor and Blake Summers of TN; two brothers David and his wife Becky McCloud of Waynesville and A.V. and his wife Naomi McCloud of KY; and two sisters Sue and her husband Azzo Roark of Waynesville and Odella Sutter of Greenville. Funeral services 11 AM Fri. June 5 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thurs. at the funeral home.
