Clara Kammerer

April 23, 1916 - December 15, 2010

Kammerer, Clara Rose (nee Wiesman), entered eternal life on December 15, at her home in Waynesville, Ohio after a brief illness. She was 94. She is survived by her son, Father Raymond Kammerer, pastor of Saint Augustine Church, Waynesville, and by her daughter Rosemary Kammerer Schlachter, son-in-law Mark Schlachter, grandchildren Abby Schlachter Langdon (Jason Langdon), Kurt Schlachter, Kameron Schlachter and Max Schlachter, and great-grandchildren Broderick Langdon and Kalli Langdon. Mrs. Kammerer was a well-known and popular business owner in Colerain Township, Greater Cincinnati, in the 1950’s and managed Pete’s Washington Shoppe formerly on Colerain Avenue for many years during the 1960’s and 1970’s. She managed other stores after leaving Washington Shoppe. In recent decades she lived in parish rectories with her son and assisted him with administration of parish activities. She received commendations from Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk for her work on behalf of Saint Augustine and other local Catholic churches. Visitation will be at St. Augustine 's Chapel from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21 and from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on December 22. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk at 11:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, Waynesville. Burial will be at Saint John the Baptist cemetery in Cincinnati .
