COX, Edward M. "Marvin" age 89 of Waynesville and formerly of Riverside passed away Fri. Dec. 6, 2013. Edward was a WWII Army veteran. A combat engineer, he fought under General Patton and General Keyes, where he was awarded two Oak Leaf Clusters and a Bronze Star for his service. He retired from GM in 2002 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Kettering American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed hunting, boating, and fishing in his free time. He was preceded in death by one grandson Myron Cox Jr., his parents R.D. and Jeanette Cox, one brother Austin Cox, and two sisters Jewell Leonard and Fern Crawley. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ramona; four sons Terry (Joyce), Myron, Michael, and Rodney Cox; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one brother Dean Cox; and two sisters Charlene Cozart and Patricia (Jack) Howard. Funeral services Noon Wed. Dec. 11 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville, with full military honors following the graveside service at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Trevor Bridgeford officiating.
