Herman "Bill" Chenoweth
February 26, 1941 - March 9, 2018
CHENOWETH, Herman “Bill” age 77, of Waynesville, passed away Fri. March 9, 2018 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. Bill was a Harveysburg High School graduate. He served in the Army as a medic in Japan during the Vietnam War. He got his first factory job at NCR where he was taught how to be a screw machine operator. He continued to work as an operator while he transitioned to Frigidaire and eventually Delphi-Harrison Radiator South in Dayton, where he retired after more than 40 years of service. As someone that could never slow down and was always finding things to keep him busy, he still found time to enjoy spending time with family and going to family gatherings. He was always building and setting up computers, but he especially loved all types of electronics. Bill was involved in genealogy and gardening. The family remembered all the wonderful joys of boating at Caesar Creek Lake, his love of the outdoors, mowing his yard with a big radio, and especially his trip to Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl C. and Marie V. M. Chenoweth and two aunts Jennie M. Walker and Anne Mae Bishop. He is survived by his brother James E. Chenoweth; sister Patricia L. (Larry) Whalen; nephew Steve B. (Julie) Whalen; niece Sherry L. (Kevin) Johnson; great nieces Sydney, Sophia, and Emma; great nephew Clay; and two cousins Gail R. (Flo) Walker and J. Albert (Boots) Walker. Services will be 1 PM Wed. March 14 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 1 PM Wed. at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
