Kyle G. Gilliam

September 27, 1988 - March 9, 2022

GILLIAM, Kyle Gordon, age 33, of Morrow, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022. He was born September 27, 1988, in Kettering. He graduated from Clinton Massie High School, class of 2007. He was currently employed with Troy Gaddis Roofing. Kyle was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and canoeing. In addition, he enjoyed carpentry work and being creative with wood. It became tradition for Kyle to visit his aunt and uncle in Kentucky for fishing trips, which he always loved. He had the most contagious smile that would light up any room he walked into. He could make any bad day great with his big heart and silly jokes. He was always the life of the party, which was represented by his favorite holiday, St. Patrick’s Day. Family-oriented and helpful to others, Kyle was patient and caring with his nieces and nephews at all stages of their lives, and they always had fun when they spent time together. He was the most amazing to his daughter, Grace, who was the most important gift in his life. Among many things, he will be remembered for how much he enjoyed taking Grace fishing, teaching her to ride her minibike, and taking her swimming in the Little Miami River. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Vance Gilliam, Flo and John Biedenkopf, Richard and Patricia Marriott, and Linda Walker. He is survived by his daughter Grace Gilliam of Waynesville; parents Jeffrey (Emily) Gilliam of Dayton and Sara (Frank) Bailey of Xenia; siblings Desiree’ (Robert) Pace of Xenia, Morgan Gilliam of Xenia, Katherine Gilliam of Dayton, Liam Gilliam of Dayton, Brandon (Ashley) Bailey of Biloxi, Mississippi, Lydia (Kaleb) Connell of Enon, Winter Bailey (Michael Sidenstick), Whittney Bailey of Xenia, Sierra Bailey of Xenia; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends 4 - 6 PM Thursday, March 17, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 6 PM at the funeral home.
