MCDONALD, Roy I., age 95, of Centerville and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Fri. June 16, 2017 at Bethany Village in Centerville. Roy retired from Delco Products after 45 years of service. He was one of the charter members of the Epiphany Lutheran Church in Centerville. He was also one of the early founders of the Pioneer Village and a member of the Masonic Lodge 405 in Dayton. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean in 2004; one granddaughter Gretchen Fields; parents Ralph and Esther McDonald; one brother Earl McDonald; and one sister Dorothy Hutchison. He is survived by one son Kenneth (Robin) McDonald; three daughters Barbara (Ken) Proehl, Carolyn Slattery, Linda Steinbrugge; five grandchildren Andy Slattery, Leah Head, Doug Proehl, Matthew Steinbrugge, and Kevin Steinbrugge; 10 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.. Funeral services 11 AM Sat. June 24 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, Centerville. Pastor Charlie Woodward will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville. The family will receive friends 10 AM - 11 AM Sat. at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
