Viola F. Charlton

CHARLTON, Viola F. age 94, of Lebanon and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Tues. Oct. 18, 2016 at her residence. Viola was always proud of the work she contributed at NCR on a top secret project during WWII. She was faithful in the Pentecostal Holiness Church. A gifted musician her entire life, she also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence in 1998; one son George H. Charlton; one granddaughter Shelly Charlton; great grandson Gabriel George; her parents George "G.W." and Anis Fox; six brothers William "Wesley", Gilbert, Shade, Robert, Reuel, and Lonnie Fox; and four sisters Bertha Fox, Polly Russell, Martha Russell, and Mary Rose. She is survived by one son Vern Charlton; daughter Donna Sue (Joseph) George; six grandchildren Jay Charlton, Candice Charlton, and Todd, Mike, Greg, and Scott George; 11 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services 11 AM Fri. Oct. 21 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Pastor Jimmy Lamb will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin.
