PALMER, William A. "Bill" age 68 of Waynesville passed away Sun. Oct. 24, 2010. Bill graduated from Harveysburg High School, class of '59, and was a farmer for the last 49 years. In addition to farming, he was a former bus driver for Clinton Massie Schools, worked several years for Airborne Express, and operated a trucking business mainly for MC Trucking. He was a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church, Mason Grange #1680, and the Lebanon Farmers Club. He greatly enjoyed his dump trucks and tractors. He was preceded in death by his dad Floyd Palmer and one sister Virginia Fox. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Irma; son and daughter-in-law William Andrew Palmer Jr. and his wife Pam of Miamisburg; his mother Evelyn Thompson of Lebanon; step daughter Tanya and her husband Mike Woodfard of Clarksville; three step grandchildren Curt Woodfard, Keith Woodfard, and Sarah Rodgers; step great grandson Tiegan; step brother Kenneth Thompson of Mason; step sister Sue Jackson of IN; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his best friend Queenie (his dog). Funeral services 1 PM Thurs. Oct. 28 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial Rosehill Cemetery, Mason. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Wed. at the funeral home.
