Wilma F. Tipton

TIPTON, Wilma F., age 86, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Ohio Living Quaker Heights in Waynesville. Wilma was a member of the Hopkinsville Church of Christ. Kind, caring, helpful, and generous, Wilma greatly enjoyed the warm weather season, sitting on her porch, and tending to her flowers. She also liked reading her Bible and arranging flowers to enjoy and give away to others. Sewing was one of her favorite activities, which included work that involved upholstery repairs. Among many things, she will be remembered for her love of hummingbirds, butterflies, and collecting obscure vintage items. She will also be remembered for her famous apple turnovers and homemade potato salad. She was preceded in death by one son Keith Tipton and her parents Edward and Maude Warner. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James; daughter Sharon (Paul) Kindell; son Kevin Tipton (Jennifer “Jen” Schott); daughter-in-law Sherri Tipton; three grandchildren Bethany (David) Falter, Joshua (Samantha) Tipton, and Jordan (Melissa) Tipton; great granddaughter Melody and one on the way, Hailey; two brothers Bill (Lisa) Tipton and Leon (Sharon) Muncie; sister Imogene (Leroy) McIntosh. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, April 12 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Turtlecreek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12 PM - 2 PM Monday at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
