Alfred "Al" C. Webster's Obituary
WEBSTER, Alfred “Al” C., age 91, of Waynesville and formerly of Sebastian, Florida, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Ohio Living Quaker Heights in Waynesville.
Al honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Austria as a medic. He retired in 1997 from M.A. Ford Co. in Vero Beach, Florida, where he worked as a supervisor. Never one to stay idle, Al went on to become a licensed realtor with Sebastian Realty, officially retiring for a second time in his mid-80s after many years in real estate.
While living in Florida, he was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Sebastian and enjoyed participating in club activities. He also had a passion for building and spent time working as a contractor, constructing homes on the side.
Quick-witted, personable, and sharp-minded, Al had a natural way with people. He deeply loved his wife, Ruthie, and showed that love in both big and small ways every day. Caring for her brought him great purpose, and his greatest goal was simply to make her happy.
Together, they created a lifetime of memories, from traveling across the country in their RV to trips to Germany and Alaska, and many cruises along the way. He embraced life with joy, especially when it included music and dancing. Above all, he will be remembered for the deep love and pride he had for his beloved wife of 50 years.
Al is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Schindler), and his parents, David Webster and Isabel (Daniel) Ahrens. He is survived by his five sons, Bill (Cindy) Menth, Bob (Colleen) Menth, Dave (Lori) Menth, Gerard (Elisabeth) Webster, and James Webster; six grandchildren, Jeremy Abbott, Lindsay Abbott, Ryan (Ashley) Menth, Tyler (Hilarey) Menth, Christopher Webster, and James Cory Webster; and six great-grandchildren, Ian, Addi, Brennan, Aiden, Orion and Atlas.
