Alice "Elaine" Beck's Obituary
BECK, Alice “Elaine,” age 71, of Harveysburg, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, at her residence.
Elaine worked for more than 30 years as a cosmetologist, both for herself and in salons around the Centerville and Miamisburg areas. She also worked as a beautician while living in New Orleans and New York for a time.
Independent and outgoing, Elaine had a free spirit and always liked to have fun. She greatly enjoyed music, especially Led Zeppelin. Seeing Elton John play at the Nutter Center was one of her fond music memories, and going out to see local bands play was always a good time. She also enjoyed staying at home watching the Ellen TV show and caring for her house plants, her beloved chihuahuas, and her boyfriend, Matt. She was an excellent cook, with her homemade meatloaf and chili being some of her most notable dishes. Her most notable tradition was mixing up a homemade bloody mary in order to perform a memorial salute each time a friend passed away.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Natalie; her parents, Charles “Pete” and Kathleen Beck; and one sister, Madeline Allman. She is survived by her longtime boyfriend and fiancé, Matt Lang; daughter, Rachel (Richard) Bisbee; son, Chad (Stephanie) Rebert; two grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; and one sister, Joyce Hughes.
