Alton "Perry" Salyer's Obituary
SALYER, Alton "Perry" age 69 of Waynesville passed away Sun. April 12, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Born April 7, 1940 to Oscar and June Salyer in Washington Court House. Perry owned and operated Salco Services Trucking for 25 years and was a member of the Waynesville United Methodist Church. He was a former president of the Dayton Mall Optimist Club and an avid sports fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Oscar Salyer, two sisters Edith McConkey and Florence Salyer, and a niece Joyce. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Joe McKenzie of Waynesville; two grandchildren Madison and Jodi; three sisters Dianna (Paul) Penwell of Sabina, Beatrice Shaner of TX, and Roberta Paul of Lebanon; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Funeral services 10:30 AM Wed. April 15 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial Milledgeville Plymouth Cemetery near Washington Court House.
