Andrea "Andee" J. Johnson's Obituary
JOHNSON, Andrea “Andee” J., age 36, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020. She was born May 6, 1984 in Kettering, Ohio.
Andee was a 2006 graduate of Wilmington High School and a member of the Jonah’s Run Baptist Church near Harveysburg.
From the age of four, Andee started attending the Nike Center in Wilmington part-time. She continued to attend the center during her school days, ultimately switching to their full-time day program after high school graduation. Recently, it was purchased by Person Centered Services, still is a part of D.O.D.D., but continued to provide the essential life skills program that Andee needed and enjoyed in her life. Among many things, she made so many friends and participated in preparing a menu, going to the grocery, and returning to cook a meal via the program.
Andee was full of life, fun to be around, and she always had a Barbie doll in her hand. She greatly enjoyed Dr. Seuss books, with "Oh the Places You’ll Go!" being her absolute favorite book. She also wore out one particular copy of a Scooby-Doo book. Country music, and the artist Toby Keith in particular, was her favorite type of music. Myrtle Beach was her all-time favorite place, and she went to the beach almost every year of her life. Among many things, she will be remembered for her love of potato chips, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kevin Johnson; grandparents, Ed and Janice Grieshop; and aunt, Peggy Lambert. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Johnson; three cousins who Andee was raised with, Danielle (Darrell) Petrey, Corie (Justin) McCollister, and Jacob Lambert; aunts, Pam Cox, Kelly Johnson, and Dana Johnson; uncle, Keith Johnson; cousin, Kathy Grismer; and many other cousins who loved her dearly.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
