Andy Butler's Obituary
BUTLER, Andy, age 87, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at his residence.
Andy honorably served as an airframe repairman in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1992 from Ford Motor Company, Sharonville plant, as an assembly set-up technician after 33 years and three months of service.
Hardworking in all aspects of his life, he enjoyed woodworking, working on cars, and riding his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. He looked forward to vacations and traveled regularly to Florida. While living in Florida, he was part of a retirement community in Frostproof, Florida. While in the sunshine state, he filled his days riding his bicycle, sitting around the pool with the guys, going to the hot tub, and riding his motorcycle. Recently, he appreciated sitting on his front porch at his house and talking to his neighbors. He loved Cheryl’s dog, Gomez, and would often spoil him. Gomez became a fond companion of Andy while Cheryl was at work.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zenith Butler, in 2012; one son, Greg Butler; parents, Kelly and Amanda Butler; one brother, Lonnie Butler; and three sisters, Martha Butler, Rosalee Porter, and Mary Blevins. He is survived by his two sons, Jay Rigg and Jeff Butler; two daughters, Cheryl Turner and Bonnie (Berry) Daniel; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Amos (Barb) Butler; and one sister Judy (Denny) Plummer.
The family will receive friends 12 - 1 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
