Ann will always hold a place in the broken hearts of so many who knew her through Saint Augustine Church in Waynesville.
Although Ann was a petite young lady, her heart and humor were larger than life. My mother-in-law, Carolyn, my husband, Mark, and I will miss sharing a pew with Ann during Saturday evening mass; her smile and quick wit were always a highlight. Ann will certainly join all the angels and saints who are ever present at Mass, which gives us great comfort. God bless her loyal and loving son, Larry, and the entire Nelson family.

I refreshed my memories, back in 2000 where I had a chance to visit you in Waynesville. Distant family but glad I could come over. I remember JFK book in your living room, plastic deer in the garden probably Mark installed, cruising over the country visiting family or friends. Rest in peace, my condolences to the family.
My second "mom", RULER of us girls, one of the "Toughest/Kindhearted" women I've ever had the pleasure to know, owner of THE ugliest purple Gremlin ever that she kept going for us, provider of Charmin for epic TP parties, best bread baker (zucchini,
carrot, pumpkin, sauerkraut...) and cabbage roll expert! So many great times spent in that home/"camper" on St. Rt. 73! Give 'em hell Ann, you were one in a million and I salute you!💗💞🙏
Today is my friend Ann's birthday. We spoke in August and laughed about us "starting to get old". I have been friends with Ann since we were 15 years old. She was such a beautiful human being. My deepest sympathy and prayers to her beautiful family. Heaven has certainly welcomed her with open arms. Rest in Peace, my friend.
