Anna Mae Hime's Obituary
HIME, Anna Mae, age 86, of Waynesville, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2021, at Ohio Living Quaker Heights in Waynesville.
Anna Mae loved gardening and feeling the rich earth between her fingers. She enjoyed all plants, from flowers to vegetables. Her favorite part was watching everything grow throughout the season and then harvesting and canning all the delicious vegetables. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends when not working in her garden. She was known for making sure everyone was well-fed while at her home. She did not like spicy foods but preferred more of a meat and potato cuisine, especially with fresh ingredients and fresh vegetables from the garden. She loved creating things from her hands and especially liked creating quilts and clothing. Among many things, Anna Mae will be remembered for being loving, caring, and a fabulous homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, in 2006; parents, Thurman and Addie Barrett; three brothers, Virgil, Chester, and Arthur Barrett; and one sister, Etta Rice. She is survived by her son, Forrest (Jacqueline) Greenwood; three grandchildren, Jodi (Jeremy) Webb, Jeffery Greenwood, and Candace Greenwood; two great-grandchildren, Vivian and Ashlynn Greenwood; one brother, Douglas (Sandy) Barrett; and one sister, Betty Lee.
A funeral service will be 1 pm Thursday, December 30 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Glendon Lamb will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery in Corwin. The family will receive friends 11 am - 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
