Anne West's Obituary
WEST, Anne, age 74, of Waynesville and formerly of Lima passed away peacefully Monday, March 1, 2010 at Quaker Heights Care Community in Waynesville as a result of Alzheimer's. Anne was born November 15, 1935 in Sydney, Australia to Henry and Irene (Turner) Simmons. She married John Lincolne West on March 15, 1958 and they resided in Australia until they moved to Canada in 1962. They moved to Lima in 1981 and after John's death in 1996, she moved to Waynesville. Anne had three children, Suzanne (Brian) Beckett of Waynesville; Graham (Lori) West of Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Lisa (Jamie) Hatfield of Erlanger, Kentucky. She is survived by her children and her grandchildren Andrew Beckett, Aaron Hatfield, Caleb Hatfield, Matthew West, Rachel Hatfield, Kelsey West, Hannah Beckett and Ana Hatfield. Anne is also survived by extended family in Australia and Canada. Her family, helping others, and her faith in Christ have been very important to Anne. Anne attended Cobblestone Church in Lebanon, where visitation will be held on Wednesday March 3 from 6-8 PM and on Thursday March 4 from 10-11 AM. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 11 AM on Thursday at the church. The family is most grateful for the staff at Quaker Heights and Crossroads Hospice.
