Ash Jaques-Broad's Obituary
Ash Jaques-Broad, age 14, of Dayton and formerly of Washington and California, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023.
Ash was a Freshman at Centerville High School.
Ash was an amazing person, full of such loving energy that would radiate and touch anyone within her reach. Her love and compassion for family, friends, and all animals were made evident through her actions. She always had a special place in her heart for all living things.
During her younger days, she greatly enjoyed gymnastics, cosplay, and sharing her bubbly personality with friends. In recent years she enjoyed skateboarding, horseback riding, and exploring abandoned or mysterious places with her friends. While living in California, she enjoyed having sleepovers for friends at her parent’s house on weekends. One of her “go-to” boredom breakers was asking mom to go for a drive, including a gas station stop for energy drinks and snacks, followed by a relaxing drive while listening to her favorite songs. Among many things, she will be remembered for her contagious laughter - and her many quirky habits: such as collecting tapestries, gemstones, crystals, and souvenirs from all the places she was able to visit. All of her hobbies, decor, and general style matched her vivid and loving personality.
She is survived by her mom, Liliana “Lily” Jaques; dad, Chris (Molly) Broad; grandma, Elena Jaques; three brothers, Tristan Broad, Cameron Broad, and Alex (Bryanna) Jaques; sister, Maria Regginello; and her boyfriend, Jayden.
The family will receive friends 3 - 6 PM Tuesday, March 21, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A very informal service will begin immediately following the visitation at 6 PM Tuesday for guests to share a favorite memory of Ash or what is in their heart. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com
