Dear family, Barbara was certainly one of our favorite patients and always an inspiration . Her pleasant disposition, intelligence and work ethic were admirable. I told her on many occasions she was my hero for staying active mentally and physically always saying how much she enjoyed taking care of "the old people" at Quaker Heights. Her last visit to our office was 6 weeks ago and she talked about her 3 great grand daughters and seemed to have overcome her health challenges. It was a privledge for me to have been her dentist for the past 13 years and we will miss her very much. You remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Barb was the rarest of individuals. Her capacity for giving was limitless and her expectation for return or notoriety was unknown. Her drive and determination, always inspiring. I will always carry her memory with me and will draw upon it now and always to remember to face each challenge with grace and determination.

Dear Steve, Paul and Mark,
I was saddened to hear of your mom's passing.
I read somewhere that beyond the sorrow and tears is a new level of love and deep connection with loved ones after they leave us. When we dare take steps of faith, God's embrace comforts and protects us and when faith fills us only then can we move on through those tears. The ripples of your mom's life continue though you, your family and generations to come. I have come to realize that this life is "for a little while." The greatest love is eternal and never ending. It's not what we can see, touch or feel, it's what's in our hearts. Our parents love is a unique love. Even though grief and sense of loss might threaten to overwhelm you and your family, her spirit is alive and will forever be active in you forming an even higher level of presence.
Bob Dylan wrote a song, "Forever Young." A little while after my dad pasted, I started dreaming of him as a healthy young man. His image was not of a sickly 80 year old, but someone that was full of life. To this day, 17 years later, he remains "Forever Young" in my heart.
I will pray for God's intervention for you and your family. May your mom's love always be in your spirit...always in your heart.
