Barry R. Walters' Obituary
WALTERS, Barry R., age 57, of Trenton, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, at Atrium Hospital in Middletown.
Barry graduated from Clinton Massie High School, class of ’82. He was a machinist for over 16 years. He was a formerly active with the Boy Scouts and affiliated with the Waynesville First Baptist Church.
As a man that had a need for speed and a heavy lead foot, he greatly enjoyed his Chevy cars and the thrill of a good motorcycle ride. He was very generous and took pride in being able to take care of his family. Among many things, he will be remembered for being a good cook who always liked to add garlic to his recipes. In his spare time, he liked playing a competitive game of darts and would kick back and appreciate a challenging video game, especially Hack and Slash.
He was preceded in death his father Gordon T. Walters and a niece April Day. He is survived by his mother Carolyn A. Walters; two brothers Kirby and Danny Walters; one sister Vicky Day; six nieces Ashley (Josh) Zeller, Amanda Short, Maryah (Adam) Gurley, Kayla Walters, Madison Bynum, and Sabrinah Walters; two nephews Thomas Andrew Walters and Austin Tyler Walters; six great-nieces; and four great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 1 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Tom Chattin will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends 11 AM – 1 PM Friday at the funeral home.
