Benjamin H. Casebolt's Obituary
CASEBOLT, Benjamin H., aka “Benji and Red,” of Washington Court House and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024.
Outgoing, personable, helpful, caring, and family-oriented, Benji greatly enjoyed being a jokester and was often ornery in a fun way. His favorite hobby was fishing, which he did every chance he got. He was a dedicated father to his sons, Trevor and Colton. He especially enjoyed riding ATVs with his boys. He loved animals and always had one or more around the house to care for, especially dogs. In recent days, Benji enjoyed playing the Match game with his nephew. He had a fond tradition of visiting Norris Lake, where his family had a lake house. Among many things, Benji will be remembered for his love of collecting family heirlooms. Specifically, items that reminded him of his family and his upbringing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Windell Casebolt and Anna Mae Owsley, and his brother, Allen Kenny Casebolt. He is survived by two sons, Trevor and Colton Casebolt; two sisters, Loretta (Ralph) Bailey and Anita Emerson; three nephews, Joshua, Jordan, and Devin; and niece, Brittanee.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Friday, August 2, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 5 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
