I remember when we started AWANA'S at church and I was so nervous and upset. Bertha and some other Women of God were very sympathetic, especially when I told them I was pregnant. After I had my baby boy Bertha lovingly asked me if it was time to come back to teaching. I felt that she was mothering me in a way and so appreciated her for giving me that gentle but firm push in the right direction
We used to sit behind her and Walter in church and loved it. She will never be forgotten in the Lamb family. She was the epitome of an older, Christian woman teaching the younger women t walk through this life with God our focus.
When I met Bertha Rains, I immediately knew she was my Sister-in-Christ, and I believe both of us felt Christ's presence, and His love, each time we saw each other. We even thought we might be related. What a loving and precious Christian example she was, to all who had the privilege of knowing her. I look forward to seeing her again, when God calls me home. Sending my love and prayers to Mr. Rains, and all your family. Bertha Rains was a blessing in everything she said and did!!

We did not know your Mom personally...but we witnessed your journey taking loving care of Michael. She was always there...not in foreground but always present for you her daughter. If your eyes met she would smile....
Then, when an auction was held for my sister,Joan, she walked in with that beautiful smile. I asked her if she was she looking for something specifically.....she smiled an said ‘Oh no I’m just here to support Margie and Brian.’
Just like your Mother, you were there for her during her journey....until God called her home.
The smile says it all.....a beautiful smile....a hero.

Our family is so sorry to hear the loss of your Mother she was a loved and caring lady and our families had alot of fun at church in our younger years. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family.
