Bessie S. Hale's Obituary
HALE, Bessie S. age 92 of Waynesville passed away Wed. Jan. 14, 2015 at Quaker Heights Care Community, Waynesville. Bessie was born July 9, 1922 to Hiram and Cumine Slone in Softshell, KY. She retired from Wayne Local Schools and was a member of the Waynesville Church of Christ. She greatly enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde in 2009; son Clyde E. Hale Jr., daughter Joanne Cook, her parents, two brothers Carlos and Marcus Slone, and two sisters Prudie Cox and Helen Simpson. She is survived by one son Bill (Gloria) Moore, daughter-in-law Kathy Hale, son-in-law Carl Cook, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and three sisters Alice Click, Verna Reed, and Virginia (Charles) Rice. Funeral services 1 PM Sat. Jan. 17 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Sat. at the funeral home.
