Bettyjane Thomas' Obituary
THOMAS, Bettyjane (Brown) age 86 of Centerville passed away Sun. Oct. 22, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. She was a 1937 graduate of Centerville High School. She attended Otterbein College and the Dayton School of Business, the later serving as a teacher after graduation. She was a past matron and 54 year member of the Miami Chapter OES in Waynesville, and organist for many chapters. She dedicated her life to the Eastern Star. She was a member of the former Sugarcreek United Church of Christ, the Centerville Historical Society, and B.P.W. of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband Don in 1961, parents Paul and Edna Brown, and brother Robert Brown. She is survived by brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Jean Brown of Dayton, sister Mary Louise Palmer of FL, sister Eileen Deeter of Celina, sister and brother-in-law Sue and Roy Turton of Centerville, sister-in-law Eleanor Brown of CA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, of whom she was deeply fond. Funeral services 10:00 A.M. Thurs. Oct. 26 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Wed. at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will begin at 8:00 P.M. Wed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Miami Chapter OES c/o Joan Gray, secretary 8636 Cypress Trail Waynesville, OH 45068.
