Billy J. Ledford's Obituary
LEDFORD, Billy J., age 75, of Waynesville, passed away December 9, 2024 at his residence.
Billy grew up in Jacksonburg, but had made Waynesville his home for the past nine years. He was in construction for almost 25 years before retiring in 2000. With a stern, straightforward, and to-the-point personality, Billy was also a jokester. He looked forward to family gatherings and reunions in Kentucky. He also enjoyed boating in Brookville and on the Kentucky River. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. He would hunt just about anything, especially rabbits, squirrels, and pheasants. Fishing at Lake Brookville and the river were his favorite spots.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Beckham and Irene Ledford. He is survived by his daughter, Julie Ledford; two sons, Billy Jo Ledford Jr. and Shawn J. Ledford; eight grandchildren, Nathan Ledford, Kaylie Ledford, Lexis Ledford, Dylan Ledford, Taylor Ledford, Madison Ledford, Megan Lawson, and Morgan Tackett; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Jerome Ledford, Bobby James (Carla) Ledford, and Jeff Ledford; and several nieces and nephews.
