Brenda K. Hardesty's Obituary
HARDESTY, Brenda K., age 66, of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at her residence.
Brenda worked 10 years for General Motors. She was a proud homemaker, family oriented, multi faceted, had a contagious laugh, loved with her whole heart, and loved blindly. She greatly enjoyed reading, with fiction novels being her favorite. She also enjoyed watching UK basketball, playing games on her computer, and playing cards. While the beach was her happy place, most recently to the Riviera Maya in Mexico, she also loved to visit Las Vegas to play the Blazing 7’s slots.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Rosalee Blanton; one brother Steven Blanton; and one sister Diana Blanton. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bob; son Darren Hardesty; daughter Ginny (Wade) Gautreaux; four step daughters Bobbi (Robert) Harrison, Jeri (Bryan) Cancienne, Nicki Hardesty, and Toni Johnston; three grandchildren Peyton, Brandon, and Austin; great granddaughter Kinleigh; two brothers Raymond (Barbara) Blanton and Thomas Blanton; and two sisters Mildred (David) Moorman and Judy (Mark) Crooks.
The family will receive friends 6 - 8 PM Friday, February 14 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. An additional visitation will be held 12 PM - 2 PM Saturday, February 15, immediately followed by a funeral service at 2 PM Saturday, all at Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson, OH.
