Bryan Jay Younker's Obituary
YOUNKER, Bryan Jay, age 60, of Lucasville and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Adena Fayette Medical Center in Washington Court House.
Bryan was proud of being self-employed and working in construction for 15 years. He could do anything in construction: siding, carpentry, and framing- you name it, he could do it. During the summer months, he relished being out in his vegetable garden, especially when it came time to plant and harvest his tomatoes and peppers. In addition, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, with his favorite driver being Jimmy Johnson and everyone’s favorite Dale Earnhardt. He was a huge Patriots football fan and looked forward to cheering them on to win each game. During his quiet times, he would sit back and strum on his guitar or listen to Motley Crue and bluegrass music.
Cheerful and honest, Bryan was true to his word and a good-hearted person. He was quiet and liked to keep to himself, but he was very trustworthy in everything he did. When it came to his job, he was extremely hardworking and dedicated. He was very proud of his girlfriend, Judy Drake. They enjoyed going to Metroparks to fish. He loved to cook and made chicken cacciatore any chance that he could. Bryan cherished sitting on the front porch with family. He loved his family deeply and wholeheartedly. Parties with family and friends became a regular tradition, and at every party you could find Bryan’s favorite: an ice-cold Budweiser. Among many things, he will be remembered for the love and pride he had in his girlfriend, Judy.
Bryan is survived by his mother, Jeanie Shephard; two sisters, Kim (Mike) Hamric and Lisa Wilkerson (Jerald Davis); one brother, Kevin Younker; 10 nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews; and his beloved girlfriend, Judy Drake.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the LeMay family farm in Waynesville. A committal service will immediately follow the celebration of life service on Saturday, August 1, at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
