Calvin B. Taylor's Obituary
TAYLOR, Calvin B., age 94, of South Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Calvin retired from Kirk & Blum Manufacturing in Cincinnati as a sheet metal operator.
During his younger days, Calvin greatly enjoyed hunting and camping. Throughout his life, however, his passion was racing cars, especially dirt track racing. He assisted a friend with working on the cars and traveling to the races for the thrill of the competition. He also enjoyed the tradition of traveling to Melbourne, Florida, in his motor home for the winter months.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ninaree, in 1978, and more recently by his wife, Sarah Langdon Taylor in 2020. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alla Mae Taylor, four brothers, and five sisters. He is survived by his son, Owen (Carol) Taylor; three step daughters, Phyllis Roberts-Smith (Scott), Vickie (Rob) Powell, and Terri Thuney; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, November 8 at Full Gospel Church of God in Lebanon. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery in Union Township. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Craig Roberts will be officiating the services. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
