Carol Sue Age's Obituary
AGE, Carol Sue, age 71, of Lebanon, formerly of Shepherdsville, KY, passed away Fri. May 25, 2018 at UC Hospital in West Chester. Carol retired from the Canteen Corporation after more than 20 years of service. She was a previous member of the Faith Baptist Temple in Louisville, KY. As a caring and giving individual, she was always trying to put the needs of others before her own. She volunteered at Monroe School District and helped every Christmas with the Adopt a Child project. You could always find her on the go, whether it was for things nearby or even several states away, and she especially appreciated a to-do list. Being around the family for picnics, barbeques, and particularly the “derby days” at her house were some her most cherished times. She had a passion for mowing grass, playing bingo, and having a sip of her Diet Dr. Pepper. She was preceded in death by her parents William Rommes and Dorothy Willard, brother Stephen Rommes, and one sister Linda Rommes. She is survived by one son Doug (Beth) Holmes; one daughter Samantha (Kenny) Swann; eight grandchildren Levi, Madison, Luke, Leah, Jeff, Ben, Hollyanne (Ryan), and Katelyn; one great grandson Oliver; four brothers Bill (Gloria) Rommes, Bob (Claudia) Rommes, Jay Rommes, and Brian (Janet) Rommes; three sisters Mary (Joe) Blevins, Chris (David) Thompson, and Lee Anne (Tim) Williams; and special niece Marla Feldmann. Funeral service 12 PM, Mon. May 28 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Matthew Morris will be officiating. The family will receive friends 10 AM – 12 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
