Caroleen J. Rigg's Obituary
RIGG, Caroleen J., age 78, of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
Caroleen worked as a beautician for over 30 years. She loved her career and proudly cut and styled her clients' hair while chatting and catching up with the many people she became friends with during her work. She was a member of Life Bridges Church in Middletown.
Always the life of the party, Caroleen was outgoing, caring, friendly, and fun-loving. She greatly enjoyed camping, cooking and baking, bluegrass music and festivals, and the many cats and dogs she cared for. She always talked fondly of the several cruises she enjoyed. In addition, she and her husband traveled to Branson many times for fun and entertainment, which became a fond tradition.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, in 2017; one granddaughter, Brittany; her parents, Floyd and Gertrude Smith; and three sisters, Freda Lamb, Phyllis Hobbs, and Emma Jean Helton. She is survived by her step-daughter, Beverly Clary (Richard Beamon); step-son, Richard Clary; five grandchildren, Brandy, Kimberely, Shiloh, Chris, and Jenny; several great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Wanda Mosley.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, June 28, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. The burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin, OH. Pastor Stephen Sams will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
