Charles L. Hollandsworth's Obituary
HOLLANDSWORTH, Charles L., age 79, of Blanchester and formerly of Corwin, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at his residence.
Charles retired as a machinist from Armor Metal Group in Mason after 42 years of service to the company. He was a member of the Blanchester Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Caring, kind, loving, and fun-loving, Charles enjoyed joking with others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a fan of NASCAR for a while, and he enjoyed flower gardening and listening to gospel music. However, his favorite pastime and passion was woodworking. He used his woodworking skills to create many beautiful items, including furniture, cabinetry, and bird house to name a few. Over the years, he always enjoyed and created many memories visiting the Appalachian Mountains by staying in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Among many things, he will be remembered for how much he enjoyed the Christmas season, whereby he always made buckeyes and peanut butter fudge.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Dorothy; his parents; and 11 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Judy; his daughter Betty Hollandsworth; six sons including twins Chester and Lester Hollandsworth, Roger Hollandsworth, Shawn (Katrena) Turner, Steven (Sheila) Turner, and Kevin (Misty) Turner; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one brother Larry (Loretta) Hollandsworth.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, July 2 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Raymond Smith and Michael Rolland will be officiating. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made toward the funeral expenses by calling or stopping in at the funeral home.
