Charlotte Rose Maloney's Obituary
MALONEY, Charlotte Rose, age 68, of Batavia and formerly of Waynesville, passed away peacefully Monday, May 8, 2023, at Hospice of Cincinnati-Blue Ash.
Charlotte graduated from Waynesville High School, class of ’73. The beloved daughter of Charles and Rosaleen Maloney, Charlotte was a kind-hearted, fun-loving, and caring daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an amazing cook who embraced her Appalachian heritage and loved to cook a big pot of soup beans, fried fish, and apple fritters. Charlotte had a green thumb and a gift for gardening. She loved caring for her plants and flowers every day, with a special love for her African Violets and summer tomato plants. She took in nature as much as possible, fishing and gardening with her partner, Michael. She enjoyed watching birds, collecting owls, and raising her beloved parrot. She could create something out of anything and often did — a fabulous meal out of just a few pantry ingredients, a beautiful cake, or a sky-high apple pie and making a house a home with only what she had on hand. In recent years, she found happiness and peace in her own little slice of Heaven, living with her partner Michael and having joyous conversations with her family, who meant everything to her. Because of her Irish heritage, her favorite holiday was St. Patrick’s Day. She loved a party with family, food, and music and never missed an opportunity to dance with joy. And nobody could sing Landslide by Fleetwood Mac like our sweet Charlotte Rose
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Morton Maloney, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Rosaleen Maloney; life-partner, Michael Schwartz; two sons, Josh Burnett (Nefertis Metz) and Eli (Amanda) Burnett; seven grandchildren, Oksana (Mike), Rheanne, Kaegan, Samantha, Jackson, Adalynn, and Ayla; two great-grandchildren, Braylon and Blayne; three brothers, Shannon (Rhonda) Maloney, Kevin (Tara Swimer) Maloney, and Shawn (Catherine) Maloney; three sisters, Sharon (Daryl) Maloney-Kingan, Shelly (Frank Carollo) Chatterelli, and Heather (James Noyes) Maloney; too many loving and adoring nieces and nephews to be listed; and ex-husband, Steven Burnett.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM Friday, May 12, 2023, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati-Blue Ash or the Kidney Foundation. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
