Clarence N. Fry Jr.'s Obituary
Clarence N. Fry, Jr., age 84, of Wilmington and formerly of Frostproof, Florida, passed away Friday, March 12, 2024, at his residence.
Clarence honorably served in the United States Marines. He worked at NCR during his early years and retired from GM in the early 80s after more than 20 years of service. He raised and showed dairy goats and was active in several dairy goat organizations, including the Southwest Ohio Dairy Goat Association, the Ohio Dairy Goat Association, and the American Dairy Goat Association.
Intelligent, creative, and inventive, Clarence was electronically-minded with a unique personality. He greatly enjoyed hunting, trapping, and fishing. Clarence and his wife loved taking their motorhome on camping trips. In addition, they spent the winter months in Florida via the motorhome, often accompanied by their children and grandchildren. When he was younger, Clarence usually used the motorhome to enjoy NASCAR races. Among many things, he will be remembered for how much he and his wife enjoyed riding around their Florida community in their little patrol car as they served as Citizen Assisted Patrol, providing security and safety to their retirement community. He will also be remembered for how many fishing poles he collected over the years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marolein, in 2021, his parents, Clarence Sr. and Geraldine Fry, and one brother, Thomas Fry. He is survived by four children, James (Sharla) Fry, Kathryn (Craig) Felton, Carol Diane (Wendell) Teboe, and Dale (Jodie) Fry; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Walter Fry and Don Fry.
