Claris Eleanor Roberts' Obituary
ROBERTS, Claris Eleanor, age 95, of South Lebanon, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Chesterwood Village in West Chester.
Eleanor was a member of Kings Point Church of God in Maineville but also attended the Full Gospel Church of God in Lebanon on occasion.
Loving and giving, Eleanor was adored by all who knew her. She loved sitting on the front porch during warm weather, visiting with friends and family, and talking on the phone. She also enjoyed getting manicures, shopping at Macy’s, buying expensive things and boasting when she found a bargain. She will always be remembered for how fond she was of her warm blankets and fuzzy slippers, but it was her grand babies that she was most proud of in her life. As far as traditions, Eleanor looked forward to attending family reunions in Elliott County, Kentucky each year.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G. B. Roberts, in 2005; one grandson, Kyle Amyx; great-grandson, Cody Roberts; son-in-law, John Amyx; her parents, Alford Henry and Rose Rice; four brothers, Ed, Travis, Charlie, and Hobert Rice; and two sisters, Bernice Adkins and Beatrice Calvert. She is survived by her son, Tim Roberts; daughter, Judy Amyx; six grandchildren, Greg Roberts, Melissa Oribello, Lisa Amyx, Craig (Brittany) Roberts, Jason Roberts, and Karla (Ryan) Snider; 11 great-grandchildren, Rilynn, Audrey, Kaden, Reagan, Paige, Brady, Tenley, Josh, Kyle, Brooke, and Gregory “Bub”; two great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Jo Stephens; and great-niece, Kristi Gooch.
Funeral services will be held 12 PM Tuesday, September 20 at Kings Pointe Church of God in Maineville. Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery in South Lebanon. Pastors Craig Roberts and Josh Butler will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends 10 AM - 12 PM Tuesday at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
