Claudette will be missed by all who came in contact with her. Her family was her life. She was a strong and courageous woman. I know our dad loved her so. He would sit and bend her ears around tax time and any other time he could and she always listened to him and laugh at all he said. I didn't know her quite as well but when I did see her she always had a smile and a kind word. RIP Claudette.

Words don't exist to describe what a wonderful woman Granny was. A true woman of God, she had the warmest, most loving heart. Just two days before she passed, unable to walk or stand, she was offering to make me a bed on the couch so I could "stay all night."
My favorite memory of Granny is from Friday, July 11th. We enjoyed the most amazing night - just the two of us. After going on a "date night" to Carrabba's and having the most delicious meal, we went back to her house and sat on the front porch for hours talking about life. Toward the end of the night, we started talking about the legacies we'd each like to leave behind after we're gone. Before Granny shared with me what she hoped her legacy would be, I interrupted and told her what I thought it would be. With tear-filled eyes, I told her that I thought her legacy would be that she always had room - at her table, in her home, and in her heart. As soon as the words left my mouth she gasped, and the BIGGEST smile crossed her face. "That's exactly what I've prayed it would be," she said. Our hearts couldn't have been more full that night.
