Clyde Hale's Obituary
HALE, Clyde E. Sr., age 88, of Waynesville passed away Sat. Dec. 5, 2009 at Sycamore Hospital after a short illness. Clyde was born Jan. 19, 1921 to Green and Lillie Hale in Collie, KY. He was a WWII Navy veteran and a member of the Waynesville First Church of Christ, Waynesville American Legion Post 615, Lebanon VFW, Disabled Veterans of America, and the Carpenters Local104. He was a retired carpenter from Leviton Construction Company after 33 years and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing in his leisure time. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Warnie, Woodrow, and Monroe, one sister, Callie Hicks, and son Kenneth Hale. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bessie, his son William Moore (Gloria) of Hillsboro, daughter, JoAnne Cook (Carl) of Houston, TX, son Clyde Edward Hale Jr. (Kathy) of Waynesville, his sister Gladys Lawson (Charles) of Dayton, 11 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. He was always the happiest when spending time with family and friends. He was a man of simple wants and desires but was one of the smartest men with common sense and knowledge of everything he pursued. He will be missed by all that knew him. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tues. Dec. 8 at Stubbs Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Bob Jones and Dennis Bunnell officiating. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Mon. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the Waynesville First Church of Christ.
