Connie J. Saxton's Obituary
Saxton, Connie J., age 74, of Waynesville and formerly of Washington Court House, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at her home.
Connie had a kind, even temper and generous personality, which made her a terrific nurse's assistant. She worked in multiple nursing homes during her 30-year career. In addition, she was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Clarksville.
During the holidays, she always looked forward to family gatherings. She was a great cook and well-known for her baking skills, especially her famous potato salad. She was very giving and would do anything for anyone. Connie had a gift for crocheting and would create beautiful blankets for family members and friends. She also enjoyed playing bingo, working on craft projects, and watching the Lifetime channel on TV. In addition, she was a bookworm and loved to read, especially mystery and romance novels.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marjorie Saxton, and one brother, James Saxton Jr. She is survived by her three daughters, Dotty (Bob) Briggs, Mary Lightle (James Patterson), and Donna Accoo; ten grandchildren, Brittany, Brandy, Cassandra, Christen, Christian "Star," Donisha, Daniel, Noah, Isacc, and PJ; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Saxton, Keith (Mary) Saxton, Mike (Bonnie) Saxton; and two sisters, Bettie (Kenneth) Florea and Bonnie Cook.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 1 PM Friday, April 21, 2023, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Miami Cemetery, Corwin.
