Dale Bowman's Obituary
BOWMAN, Dale age 54 of Waynesville passed away Thurs. Aug. 11, 2011 at Southview Hospital. Dale graduated from Georgetown College in KY with a bachelor's degree in business. He was a member of the Georgetown College Athletic Hall of Fame for his years playing tennis. He was a former co-owner of Woody's Market in West Carrollton and founder of the Der Duetchler restaurant in Waynesville. He was the former boys and girls tennis coach at Waynesville High School and the current girls tennis coach at Alter High School. Along with his wife, he is co-owner of the Hammel House Inn, Waynesville. He was also a member of the Dayton Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, and the Antioch Shrine Club. He was preceded in death by his parents Woody and Wilma Bowman. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pam; three children Drs. Allyson (Michael) Kessel, Steven Bowman, and Carly Bowman; and his sister Carolyn (Michael). Funeral services 11AM Mon. Aug. 15 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Pastor Tammy Jo Reiser officiating. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Sun. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
