Dale S. Haxton's Obituary
HAXTON, Dale Sumner age 78, died November 16, 2006 in Waynesville, OH. Dale was born to Clara Nesbit Haxton and Vernon Russell Haxton in Perryville, Mo. November 23, 1927. He was retired from NCR Corporation, where he worked for over twenty years engineering the installation of large computer systems. Dale was a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis MO and had a wide range of interests. He was an accomplished musician an avid writer and had great passion for the outdoors, his pets and his beloved farm in Waynesville. Dale is survived by his four children, Melissa Miller (Bryan), of Parker CO; Corry Haxton of Kettering, OH; Alison Mount (Robert) of Lebanon, OH and Cady Bunn (Brian) of Waynesville, OH. He is also survived by his former wife Barbara, to whom he was married for 40 years. He leaves his wonderful grandchildren, Justin, Matthew and Suzanne Miller of Colorado; Kevin Haxton of Centerville, OH; Michael, Victoria, Alexander and Zachary Mount of Lebanon, OH; Lauren and Erin Bunn of Waynesville. Dale also leaves his loving sister Barbara Oliver and brother-in-law Edward Oliver of Country Club Hills, IL, nephews Michael, and Thomas Oliver and niece Laurie Oliver. Dale was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Italy at the close of World War II. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 20, 2006 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Reverend Kay Davis-Dudding, Westminster Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial to follow at Miami Cemetery, Waynesville. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday November 19 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SICSA in Dale’s name 2612 Wilmington Pike Dayton, 45419.
