Dalton Kaufman's Obituary
KAUFMAN, Dalton, age 92, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021.
Dalton retired from GM-Delco Products after 39 years of service to the company. Following his retirement from GM, he worked an additional 13 years or so for Lebanon City Schools. He attended Ridgeville Community Church and Dodds Pentecostal Church for many years. Earlier in his life, he helped build the Church of God in Lebanon while attending there.
Quiet, friendly, and helpful, Dalton was a hard worker and spent the majority of his life working and providing for his family. In his free time however , he greatly enjoyed going to auctions, thereby collecting and hunting for things of value that others could use. Among many things, his love of getting outside and maintaining his garden will be remembered as one of his favorite leisure activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents David and Carrie Kaufman; four brothers Leonard, Clarence, Gene, and Raymond Kaufman; two sisters Lucille Honeycutt and Janelle Dautel; and two sons-in-law John South and Robert Coomer. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Cleadis; four children Kathleen South, Richard (Kim) Kaufman, Robyn Coomer, and Phillip (Angie) Kaufman; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and one sister Marilyn Obleness.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday April 6 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Pastor Michael Amburgy will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley and/or Salyer Adult Group Home in Hillsboro.
