We are deeply saddened by Dan's passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to Carlotta and the Simpson family.
Dan was a great cousin even if was by him being married to Carlotta. I have lot of memories that go back to when I was very young. Dan being 18 years older and I can even remember us coming down from Beavercreek and watching some of the games Dan coached. I think at that time though might have been a couple Workman boys playing on the team. Dan will certainly be missed. I enjoyed going to the basketball games when he was our coach. Jerry and I saw him at the race track in Lebanon a few times. He was always friendly and seemed to love life. Prayers for you, Carlotta, and your family during this time.

We had so many great trips and fun times with Dan and Carlotta. Dan was a great story teller and gave us lots of laughs. We can shut our eyes and still see him laughing until he couldn’t stand up. Those times will never be forgotten. He loved Carlotta, his children, and grandchildren so much and you could see him light up when talking about them.
He will be greatly missed by many because he was loved by many, including us, of course! Carlotta, Chris, Mike, Jackie, Amy, and Dean you have our deepest sympathy and will forever hold you in our hearts. God bless you and comfort you. So sorry we cannot be there for you.

I knew Coach Simpson the best through my husband, Loren. We would always seek him out at the Waynesville Alumni and he always graciously received our hugs and memories. Loren often tells of his pursuit of Coach Simpson, I think from about the age of 5. Coach Simpson, saw his heart and lent his wisdom and acceptance to a young man, which I honestly believe changed Loren's life. That never has left my husband's (or my) memories and appreciation. Carlotta - what an amazing marriage you had! 68 years! Loren and I will celebrate 47 this month. You and Coach Simpson are the BEST of examples! My heart goes out to you and all of the family....we even had 5 children, just like you!
