Daniel D. Lamb's Obituary
LAMB, Daniel D., age 84, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his residence. He was born September 4, 1937, in Milford, to the late Dewey and Rhoda Lamb.
Daniel retired in 2000 from BFG Construction Company in Fairborn after more than 20 years of service. He built McDonald’s’ locations in Texas and Ohio primarily. As a gentleman with a strong work ethic, he completed amazing acts of strength to complete projects, he completed numerous masonry masterpieces, and he was an incredible mason. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his whittling. Worshipping the Lord was a big part of Daniel’s life. He was an active member of the Common Ground Community Church in Hillsboro for 36 years. He was more than just a member, however, as he was a huge supporter, helped open and close the services, and for numerous years was on the board for the church.
In his younger years, he enjoyed the fellowship that accompanied his trips of camping and various outdoor events. When his daughters were growing up, he looked forward to spending time working in the garden with his family. In his later years, he enjoyed word search books and working jigsaw puzzles. Daniel relished spending time with family and friends, he never met a stranger and took great pride in being able to make others happy and getting them to smile. He loved spending time with his grandkids and helping others. Among many things, he will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, and his appreciation of telling jokes and playing tricks on others. The family would like to especially thank Loving Heart Hospice and all the private caregivers.
