David L. Foster's Obituary
FOSTER, David L., age 54, of Oregonia, passed away Tuesday, July 23.
David graduated from Waynesville High School and the Warren County Career Center, class of ‘88. After completing the welding program at the career center, David worked for Tincher’s Welding for several years. In addition, he worked as a stonemason throughout southwest Ohio for nearly a decade. Most recently, he managed the meat department at Groceryland in Waynesville, formerly called Ellis Supervalu.
Fun-loving and giving, David was known to give others his last dollar or the shirt off his back. With an outgoing and upbeat personality and a big smile, he was known to light up the room upon meeting friends and family. He was family-oriented and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. His passion was spending quality time on the river bank across from his home. David spent countless hours fishing, canoeing, and sitting around a bonfire. He also loved the tradition of attending the hill climb event each year in Oregonia during the fall season. Among many things, he will be remembered for his collection of hats, his love of sweets, and his favorite beverage, Twisted Tea.
David was preceded in death by his father, David C. Foster; his step-father, Dennis Hart; his step-sister, Denise Killian; and a nephew, Devin Foster. He is survived by his children, Chelsey Partin, Joshua Foster (Jessica), and Cody Johnson; four grandchildren, Laylah, Waylon, Trinity, and Trista; his loving mother, Connie Hart; one brother, Steve Foster; one sister, Jenny Foster, aunts, Pamela (Bert) Dameron, Cheryl (Jerry) Caudill, and Diana (Michael) Kauffman; two nieces, Kelsey Foster and Meghan Harris; two nephews, Austin Foster and Tyler Foster; and his girlfriend, Shawna Clark.
The family will receive friends from 4 - 7 pm, Wednesday, July 31, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 7 pm at the funeral home. Celebrant Katie Mackoway will be officiating the service. In David’s memory, contributions may be made to the David L. Foster Memorial at LCNB aimed at being a college fund for his grandchildren. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
