David R. Hood's Obituary
HOOD, David R., age 60, of Waynesville and formerly of Springfield, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at Grandview Hospital.
David attended Covenant United Methodist Church in Springfield.
Outgoing and full of life, David had a great sense of humor and was easy to talk to. He greatly enjoyed fishing the lily pond at Caesar Creek Lake and remote control cars, boats and planes. He loved music, especially rock and roll, and played the bass. Among many things, he will be remembered for all the good times he enjoyed going to bar concerts watching his buddies or participating himself.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elwood and Mae Hood and two sisters Carolyn Elkins and Marilyn Henry. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jennifer; two daughters Jeanné and KayLee; two sons Jermaine and Alexander; three grandchildren TyJeanne, Kaleena, and Amariana; one brother Stephen Hood; and one sister Camille Milks.
