Dean E. King's Obituary
KING, Dean E. age 76, of Wilmington, passed away Fri. Dec. 18, 2015 at his residence. Dean graduated from Kansas State University and was a Vietnam Air Force veteran. He retired from WPAFB in 1993 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Sharon United Methodist Church in Wilmington and the Xenia Hospitality Chorus. An avid cribbage player, he enjoyed barbershop quartet singing, working on cars, handyman work, and fixing things. He also enjoyed playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele. He was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Esther Ellen King; two brothers Keith and Dale King; and one sister Barbara Bieker. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy; two sons Ben King and Will (Julie) King; daughter Vicki (Steve) Hoffman; five grandchildren Cassie Fultz, Ethan Costello, Lucas Hoffman, Aidan King, and Riley King; one brother Daniel (Nancy) King; and one sister Marva Lee Pfroffer. Funeral services 10:30 AM Wed. Dec. 23 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Pastor Steve Beach and Pastor Peggy Cromer will be officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tues. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Xenia Hospitality Chorus, Sharon United Methodist Church, or Community Care Hospice.
