Della M. Hitchcock's Obituary
HITCHCOCK, Della M. was born in Greenup County, KY to Willis and Lena (Back) Hall on February 22, 1933. She met and married John Hitchcock Jr. on December 18, 1949. Della worked at Fred’s Department Store in Lebanon and then at Cincinnati Milicron/Sumco in South Lebanon until 2005. Della enjoyed cooking, canning, and flower gardening. She had an amazing way of making each and every child, grandchild, and great grandchild feel like they were the favorite one. She had the same effect on friends, family, and everyone else who came in contact with her and made them feel special. She will be remembered by her soft touch, warm smile and mischievous, playful wink. Della was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John; her parents; brothers Estill Hall & Dale Fisher; and sisters Ruth Voiles, Anna Mae Fisher, Jean Kazee and Charlotte Rivers. She is survived by her children and their spouses Danny & Becky (White), Diana Davis & Dennis Wells, Karen & Bill Fox, Johnny & Debbie (Hunt), Ronnie & girlfriend Crystal Thompson and Sheila & John O’Brien; grandchildren Debbi White, Tracy (Leel) Hitchcock, Keith Hitchcock, Angie (Mark) Holly, DawnRenee Davis, Devin Monroe, Joey (Chris) Pastorella Fox, John Hitchcock (Ashlee Hacker), Kyle (Julie) Hitchcock, Hillary (Patrick) Hillard, and Michael, Kathleen and Sean O’Brien; great grandchildren Aidan and Griffin Camerena; Owen, Samantha and Maximus Hitchcock, Kayden Butcher; Tristan, Hayden and Ethan Holly; Isabelle Davis, Danielle and William Deyhle; Cleo Fox-Pastorella; Kyle Hitchcock Jr. and Madelyn Hillard; and many nieces, nephews and friends who all loved her. Funeral services are 11 AM Wed. Jan. 15 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial in Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tues. at the funeral home.
