Delores D. Whitt's Obituary
WHITT, Delores D., of Waynesville, passed away Sun. April 7, 2019 at Hospice of Butler/ Warren County.
Delores owned the Hair House in Lebanon and her salon was best known for being the “best little hair house in town.” She retired after being a hairdresser for 30 years.
As a happy-go-lucky lady, she was always joyful and wonderful to be around. She had a big heart, was always concerned about others. Being a generous individual, she had a desire to help others any way that she could. She loved everyone and knew no strangers. In her spare time, she loved doing floral arrangements and all different types of crafts, especially decorations. Some of her most treasured times were family get-togethers, especially during Christmas time. Her world was centered around her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as they were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her son James “Steve” Meece, parents Zeke Surface and Armina Mitchel, and sister Diane Sizemore. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert "Bob" Dale Whitt; one son Michael (Joshlyn) Whitt; two daughters Cindy (Doug) Settlemire and Patty Taulbee; nine grandchildren Liam Whitt, Josh (Lauren) Patrick, Meghan Meece (AJ), Jimmy Monds (Amanda), Danielle Monds (fiancée Jordan), Matthew (Dawn) Stamper, Brad Taulbee, Tosha Taulbee, and Julie (Matt) Coleman; 18 great grandchildren Sophia, Bodhi, Dayzie, Taylor, Zach, Hunter, Keegan, Cameron, Kiernan, Avery, Wyatt, Kailyn, Rilynn, Robbie, Tai, Tia, Matthew, and Myiah; and many close friends.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Fri. April 12 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Katie Mackoway, life celebrant, will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery in Corwin.
