Denny was a great friend of mine. He will be sorely missed.
He was a wonderful historian and speaker.
May the peace of the Lord be with his family.

As well as a great historian & town crier, Denny was a lifelong member off St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Waynesville. So many good memories of youth group gatherings. He will be missed.

Dennis was a classmate of mine (1961). He was talented his whole life. He was the Town Crier of Waynesville, an author, and a historian. In Lebanon, he told me to look at the second story of a building to determine its architectural style rather than the ground floor because the store fronts change often. God speed, my friend, as you enter heaven and are greeted by those who went before you.
Though I didn’t know Dennis, when I looked at his picture, I did indeed know him. Perhaps since he was so well known around Waynesville and surrounding areas but I Knew of him. Ge was a pretty cool guy filled with such information that anyone could sit down with him for History lessons. He was an Awesome guy and will be MISSED!!!
Farewell to a timeless and extraordinary man! On behalf of the Lebanon Public Library Board and staff, please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of your dear uncle. Denny, your passion for your community and its history will live on and on in the articles and books you have researched and written. You will be missed by all who knew you. Rest in peace.
I am so incredibly thankful for our friendship. You are such a blessing to Jonathan and I, and will be so greatly missed. Thank you for being my friend.❤️
