I have sooo many memories of Denzel, Jewel and myself... One of my favorites, we were sitting at the Red Barn (our favorite coffee place) on a Sat. nite drinking coffee. That was about all we could afford back then. Denzel told me they were going to get married that spring.. We talked awhile ... then Denzel asked me why I was so quiet. Jewel and I had been thru several tradgedies our high school years that totally knocked the wind out of us. I told Denzel I wanted him to promise me he would Never hurt my friend and that was the only way I'd let them marry.. You would have thought he would have laughed me out of the booth.... but no.. he took a napkin from the table and hand wrote a contract saying exactly what I asked... He told me over Christmas he still had that napkin!!! What a dude.... That was the night I fell in love with Denzel and knew my friend would be ok..
I look forward to us all being back together again... Jewel and I already made plans before she left us on where we would meet in Heaven... Precious memories that I will carry with me until my time comes...
