Devon A. Poling's Obituary
POLING, Devon A., age 29, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021.
Devon graduated from Lebanon High School in 2010 and has worked the past several years for Snow Roofing of Springboro. He was a member of the Ohio Harness Horseman Association (OHHA).
Outgoing and very likable, Devon had a distinctive laugh, had tons of friends, and was always the life of the party. During his high school years, he participated in wresting, Lacrosse, and BMX and Motocross competitions. In more recent years, he greatly enjoyed boating at Lake Cumberland, golfing, hanging with his friends, and horse racing, whereby he assisted by jogging and training the horses. He was an avid Steelers fan, loved going to casinos, and preferred the 4th of July and St. Patrick’s Day holidays. Among many things, he will be remembered for how much he loved his long hair. Over the past few years, he was growing out his hair to donate to Locks of Love.
He was preceded in death by his grandma, Pat Fairchild. He is survived by his father Eddie (Jenny) Poling; his mother Vikki Stroop-Stickelman; grandparents George and Susan Stroop, Eddie H. Poling Sr., and Phyllis and Neil Crosley; two brothers Derek Leak and Dagen Stickelman; three sisters Payton Poling, Sadi (Christopher) Barker, and Sammi (Bruce) Pelphrey; niece who he adored Kreelyn Barker; the Hedric, Amburgy, Cover, and Stroop families; special friend Bobby Stickelman; and his dog Royce.
A celebration of life service will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, August 14 at the Warren County Fairgrounds Event Center in Lebanon, followed by a celebration of life gathering until 9 PM. In honor of Devon and his love of Steelers football, please wear your Steelers attire or anything with yellow and black. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com. “143 Devon, Love You More!”
